SNSDC69 ~ Something Old, Something New, Something Blue

Hello friends & followers!  So happy you could stop by my blog today to see my creation for the latest Sweet and Sassy Digi Challenge 69 - Something Old, Something New, Something Blue (use blue on your card along with some supplies that are new and some that are old.)  I opted to use this new-to-me Bluebird digital stamp (it is available in clear form too for those of you who are die hard clear stamp lovers) along with some old blue cardstock scraps (I was psyched to find one that had been punched on one edge) and some new sheer metallic ribbon from Offray to make this CAS card:

Korin has quite a few beautifully illustrated birds in her shop, cardinals, chickadee, goldfinch, penguins, owls, swans, even a titmouse - so if you are a bird enthusiast make sure you check out her selection!
Hope you will play along with our digi challenge - and remember, you don't have to use SNSS digis, any digis will do, however you might find yourself in the SNSS spotlight if you do!
Thanks for stopping by my blog - time to get back to the unpacking... I wonder if I will ever be finished before it is time to move again, LOL!  Have a great weekend!

Christmas Card Kit Club ~ August 2012

Hello friends and followers!  Today I have a treat for you - 5 of my crafty friends and I have gotten together and organized a Christmas Card Kit Club.  I got the idea from my crafty friend Suzanne; each of us takes a turn hosting the challenge for a month by mailing supplies to the other members of the group - images, patterned papers, embellishments, etc.  Everyone receives the same materials, and we have the entire month to make one or more cards with them.  Then, on the last day of the month we all share our creations on our blogs and have fun seeing what everyone else made with the same supplies, plus we have a big head start on our holiday cards for the season.  Isn't that a fun idea?  I was so happy my pals wanted to play along.  So, this month Peggy Sue was the host and sent us the following supplies including a very intricate image of a Nutcracker by Waltzingmouse Stamps and some pretty patterned papers from Echo Park's Holly Jolly Collection:
I cannot tell you how much FUN it was to have EMBELLISHMENTS to create with since all of mine are still packed up and I have only had my scrap folders of cardstock at my disposal.  Due to time constraints with our move, I was only able to create two cards this month, but I am happy with both of them.  The first was inspired by the soft aqua tones in the Holly Jolly collection:
In my second cards I opted for a CAS no-stamping style, spotlighting the patterned papers themselves because I just love this collection so much:
Aren't the colors in this collection pretty?  They really can carry a card all on their own.  (Note - My holiday card count - only 12, dismal!  I usually have about 80 by this time already!  A move really is all encompassing!  Hopefully this Christmas Card kit club will help get that number up SOON!  The holidays will be hear before you know it!!)
Now I know you are excited to see what my talented friends made with their kits as well, so be sure to visit them all, I am sure they have something beautiful for you to see:

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you enjoyed our first Christmas Card Kit Club Hop and will join us again last the day of the month in the future!  Cheers!

SNSDC68 ~ Inspirational Blog Hop

Hello Friends & Followers!  As you are reading this, movers have descending upon my house and currently in the process of moving our things into the house where we will be living for the next 2 years or so.  So happy thought no one breaks anything, okay?  :)
So glad you could join me for the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Inspirational Blog Hop for this image:
Pretty isn't it?  I was inspired by the pumpkins and orange hues and created this card using Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps' Pumpkin Patch Digi image:
(I will be SO happy after our move is over and I am all unpack and set up and find my photo cube to use for card photos again!).  The paper and maple leaf rhinestone accents are by Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby and the gold sheer-wired ribbon is by Offray.  I hope you will play along with our inspiration challenge - you do not even need to use SNSS digis (though if you do you might find yourself in our spotlight) any digi will do, and for every card you enter during the month of August you are entered for a chance to win 3 SNSS digi images of your choice - how SWEET is that?!!  Hope you will play along after seeing some more fabby samples from my fellow SNSDC Teammates:

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!  Time to back to cleaning our old house for inspection!  (Envy me?  LOL!)  Have a great weekend!

SNSDC67 ~ 3D Flower Embellishments

Hello again Friends & Followers!  Thanks so much for stopping by again this Friday.  This card is made for Sweet 'n Sassy's Digi Challenge 67 - to use three dimensional flowers on your card.  I have to give a shout out to my friend Katie Skiff who was kind enough to send me some Spare Parts Primas for me to use on this challenge since mine are packed (you rock Katie!!).  So here is my take on the challenge using the adorable Lilacs for Cocoa digital image:
We hope you will play along with us, you do not need to use a SNSS digi image (though we sure love to see them and you might find yourself in the SNSS spotlight if you do!) any digi will do, and every card you enter for the month of August you get one entry for a chance to win 3 SNSS digis of your choice!  So play early, play often!  We can't wait to see what you create!
This card also fulfills the requirements of the following additional challenges:
Thanks for stopping by my blog, I hope you have a fabulous weekend!  We will be moving some of our boxes (and all of my crafty supplies - EEEEE!) over to our new abode.

WnW86 ~ Favorite Color Combination

Hello friends & followers!  So happy you could visit my blog today.  Today's card was created for Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge 86 - to make a card using your favorite color combination.  My favorite color combo is sky blue and chocolate brown, so I used the adorable Ansley's Surprise digi image and created this card:
I don't know what it is about this color combination that is so soothing and so heart-warming at the same time, but it just makes me happy, I love it!!  Little Ansley and her surprise puppy were colored in with Bic Mark-Its (I soooo miss my Copics!!) and I was psyched to find an already embossed piece of bashful blue cardstock in my scraps stash (which is all I am able to use to craft with until we are moved in and unpacked) along with some snowflake patterned paper by the Paper Studio that I picked up from Hobby Lobby.  The silver pine accents, blue button and cord are left over from Christmas Card kit from a club to which I belong (revisit on Aug. 31st to see the contents of the kit and what all of the participants made with it!!).  It felt SO nice to make a 'fancier' card than I have been used to since I had to pack up my crafty supplies.
This card also fulfills the requirements of the following additional challenges:
Hope you will play along with us!  Wags 'n Whiskers' digi images are not required (though we love to see them and you are put in a 2nd drawing for a free WnW digi image if you use one) and one lucky participant wins a Wags 'n Whiskers stamp - how cool is that?!!  You could pick up a Ansley's Surprise of your own!
     Have a great weekend everyone!

SNSDC66 ~ Greens & Purples

Happy Friday Friends & Followers!  Time for another Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge, and this week certainly was a challenge for me - Use greens & purples - not too colors I frequently use together, in fact, I really don't use purple much at all now that I think of it, I don't have anything against the color, there are just others I seem to reach for first.  For the challenge I created this CAS card using Cookie's Pear digi stamp:
I figured I could write 'you are a wonderful 'pear'' on the inside and use it as an anniversary card or something.  99.9% of my embellishments are still packed up and inaccessible so I took a white grosgrain ribbon and used my Bic Mark It's that I used to color little Cookie Mouse and drew lines using the same colors to create a coordinating ribbon.
Hope you will play along with our challenges, you don't even need to use SNSS digis (though we certainly love it when you do - and then you are in the running to be a spotlighted stamper and might even end up being the featured guest designer for October!) and remember, every card you enter during the month of August enters you to win 3 SNSS digis of your choice!  So play along every week to increase your chances.  This card also fulfills the requirements of the following additional challenges as well:

     Have a wonderful weekend!

SNSDC65 - Beary Special Challenge

Hello again Friends & Followers!  Time to share my Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge card for our new challenge: Beary Special - use a digital image of a bear on your card.  I went with sweet little Rhubarb's Gingerbread Man digi since I am only up to a pitiful nine holiday cards at this juncture (should be more like 70, I better get crackin'!) along with some patterned papers I snagged at Hobby Lobby (since mine are still buried and will continue to be throughout the duration of August, hrmph!).
(Man I miss my photo cube too!)  This card also fulfills the requirements of One Stitch at a Time's Challenge 129 - to Use a Digi. and Do You Stack Up Challenge 83 - Polka Dots (I have tons of them on the green panels).
Won't you play along with our SNSDC?  SNSS digis are not required (though we certainly love to see them!) and every card you make during the month of August puts you in the running for a chance to win 3 SNSS digis of your choice - so play early, play often!  Can't wait to see your creations on the SNSDC Blog!  Have a great weekend - and if you happen to be a person of the praying nature, our little furbaby is not feeling well, I hope it is nothing serious, but since you just never know, if you would be kind enough to put in a good word for our little guy, it would mean the world to me.  Thank you!!

WnW85 - Birthday!

Hello friends & followers!  Welcome to my Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge post.  It feels so good to be back creating for Wags 'n Whiskers again.  Today's theme was 'Birthday' and I used Ellie and Squeak to celebrate:
I will be SO happy when we are moved into our new place and I am able to unpack ALL of my craft supplies.  The Bic Mark Its are good in a pinch, but I miss the variety of my Copic marker collection, and I think they blend a bit better too.  The paper is something I purchased at Hobby Lobby on sale, since all my boxes of patterned paper is buried and non-accessible at the moment, but I liked the candles and balloons, festive no?  This card also fulfills the requirements of Partytime Tuesdays' Anything Goes Birthday Challenge and Delightful Challenge - Birthdays.
I hope you will play along with our challenge - any digi will do - you don't even need to use a WnW digi, though as an extra incentive a second winner will be chosen to receive a free digi image of their choosing from the entries sporting WnW images.  Good luck!
