Top 12 of 2012

Hello Friends & Followers, sorry I have not posted much, but I literally have been sick with one thing after another since even before Thanksgiving.  Still hoping things will clear up by New Years and 2013 will be a healthier year.
I thought it would be nice to take a look back over my work of the past year and highlight my top 12 favorite creations, note any trends, see where I've been, etc.  Of the 22 cards on my preliminary list before I began whittling it down, I noticed the following trends: I colored in outline images on 17 of them (yep only 5 were solely stamped), 4 cards involving dogs (expected WAY more than that honestly), 14 involved animals, 5 were holiday cards (again, expected more), 4 were CAS and 3 were shaped cards (maybe I need to make those more often!)  Here are my personal faves in no particular order:
Made the above as part of our Christmas Card kit club hostessed by the newest Splitcoaststampers Dirty Dozen DT member, Kelli Hull.  Loved that Bazzill DP, the red burlap ribbon, the touch of sparkle and my coloring job on this one.  I liked it so much I ended up buying the image myself from Sparkle Creations (she is having a 20% off sale through January 2nd BTW, if you are interested in picking her up yourself).
My very first Some Odd Girl card made with Preppy Pups, who can resist a doxie like this one!  I like the bright colors and papers of the card in addition to how the pup is colored as well.
My favorite Sweet 'n Sassy Stamp set - Woof You - SO much fun to color & paper piece.  This card also incorporates plaid paper, which I also adore.
A clean & classic menorah from my favorite Hanukkah set by There She Goes (Home Sweet Home - Hanukkah Additions).  I like the elegance of it.
Another card made with one of my favorite TSG sets - Angel Mail.  Also, it is my first card made with stick pins after watching my friend Candace Pierce's awesome tutorial, certainly won't be my last... (stick pins are FUN to make!!)
I made this card for a Skipping Stones Design sketch challenge using their Grey Hares set - I liked the punched balloons & twine & how the bunny is holding them.
Just love these sweet bunnehz in Wags 'n Whiskers' Some Bunny Loves You card and the overall soft look it has.  WnW really has some pretty images, especially if you love kids & critters.  If you haven't checked them out before, they are worth the look!!
Just love this beautifully illustrated ellie drawn by Theresa Momber, had fun with the gold netting ribbon and animal prints for a Stamp TV challenge to CASE Lee Murphy.
Love the colors and pretty papers in this card using TSG's Happy Bird Day set for our fearless leader, Jessica Knutsen's, birthday this year.  Note - one of the few cards where I didn't color.
Made for Sweet'n Sassy's Digi Challenge #55 - I swear, the easiest shaped card ever - just fold a circle in half and TA DA - instant watermelon slice.  I came up with the idea when I saw the watermelon seed stickers at Walmart of all places believe it or not.  Still feel bad about lopping off Cocoa's tail though (too tricky for me to cut around).
Don't think this one ever made it to my blog... it was a card for my FIL's birthday using Kitchen Sink Stamps' Multi-Step Classic Old Truck and I have to say, I do love to color, but this multi-step stamping is COOL!!  I want to make a point of doing this more in 2013.
Another card that I don't think I posted, my first Cricut card E-VER!  (which is kinda sad because I owned the Cricut for a while before ever taking it out of the box, it was a gift shortly before my back surgery and I literally could not lift it for about a year).  As much as I enjoy seeing the beautiful creations my friends make with their Silhouettes and Cameos, and as much as I would love to own one myself, I really do enjoy using my Cricut.  I used the Don Juan and 50 States cartridges for this CAS card.
So, there you have it - my top 12 for 2012.  Which is your favorite and why?  I would be curious to hear your feedback and input so I think I will have a little surprise blog candy for a randomly drawn person who comments on this post telling me which of these 12 is your favorite (or if you have a different favorite if you are that familiar with my work, LOL!) and why it is your favorite.
Thank you all so much for stopping by my blog to view my creations and read my ramblings.  I really appreciate your time, attention and support and wish you the best for a very happy & healthy 2012!
     Cheers!
~ Crafty Math Chick
PS - Hope you will visit tomorrow for my post of my creations with December's Christmas Card Kit - it was my month to hostess so I created the kit.  The post will be on the late side as I am still quite sick and it is hard to be creative when you are coughing incessantly.  Thank you for your patience.

SNSDC84 ~ Tag, You're It

Hello Friends & Followers!  Time for another Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge!  This week we are playing tag - make a tag or use one on a creation!  I made three, two use Rhubarb's Gingerbread Man, and the other uses Cocoa's Ornament and Santa hat digis (I just have to say, this little 99 cent stamp comes in SO handy - you can resize it as big or as small as you want, color it out and paste it onto ANYTHING - like I did here):
(I think I like Rhubarb better in brown than in grey - what do you think?)  Had some fun with these little gingerbread outlets on Rhubarb's tags too - can you see them?
I hope you will play along with us.  Any digi will do, it does not need to be a SNSS digi (though we certainly love to see them) and for every card you enter into our challenges for the Month of December you have a chance to win 3 digis of your choice from the store, so be sure to play along every week!  And make sure to stop by the blog to see what talented teammates have created for you as well!
     Happy Friday!

SNSDC83 ~ Christmas Cards

Hello friends & followers (sorry for the brief hiatus, it's been one medical issue after another here!).  This week's Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge is Christmas Cards (come on, you know you still need a few!).  Here is mine made with Cocoa's Christmas tree digi, some pretty Recollections paper and LOTS of bling:
Yes, I added each one of those teenie rhinestones in the garland by hand, one ran for cover and is still hiding on my floor somewhere...  Not the design I planned to use when I started out, but I realized too late that I couldn't use a Spellbinders Nestabilities die after I added all the rhinestones and sparkly tree topper (DUH!  I swear I need a CAT scan...)

Hello Friends & Followers!  I hope my American friends had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving and survived any Black Friday shopping you were brave enough to venture out to do!  This week Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is challenging you to make a gift or an image involving gifts with your digis.  I selected Cocoa's Gift digital image to create this birthday card:

Be sure to see the SNSDC Blog for more ideas from my Digi Challenge teammates.  Won't you play along with us?  You don't even need to use a SNSS digi, any digi will do, but we love to see them of course and you never know when you will find yourself in the SNSS Spotlight!

Happy Birthday Lacey!!

Today is a happy day - members of the Wags 'n Whiskers & Stamp and Create Design Teams are celebrating the birthday of our owner/designer Lacey Stephens.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY LACEY!  Here is a card I made in your honor Wags 'n Whiskers' adorable Ellie & Squeak digi image :
Ellie & Squeake are colored with Spectrum Noir markers (which I won as a WCMD prize from Crafter's Companion - thanks you Crafter's Companion!!) and the presents are colored with Copics.  Since Ellie is holding a present I decided to pair the image with some patterned paper by the Paper Studio that has presents all over it.
I hope your birthday is a very happy one Lacey, and I am honored to be a part of one of your DTs!!

SNSDC80 ~ New release - Shaped card challenge

Hello Friends & Followers!  Yesterday Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps released three new digis in conjunction with their 5th birthday celebration:
Eskimo Kisses (colored image - the outlined image was previously released and is available in the store as well for those of you who love to color):
This week's Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge is to make a shaped card.  I decided to use cute little Kiwi Koala's Cuppa image as the shape for my card:

I printed him out somewhat supersized, colored him in using Spectrum Noir markers for the grey portions (they are new, wanted to try them out - let me know what you think!) and Copic markers for the colored portions, cut him out and traced him onto a piece of Going Grey cardstock.  I cut along my outline and scored at the top, folded it over to attach it to the image at the top and VOILA - instead Kiwi shaped card!  I also punched out 'Winter Blessings' from the Eskimo Kisses Sentiments set and attached it at the bottom, though I feel bad blocking part of his cute paw pads.
Be sure to see the SNSDC Blog for more ideas from my Digi Challenge teammates.  Won't you play along with us?  And in celebration of SNSS' 5th birthday the prize for this week's challenge is BIG - $20 of SNSS digi images!!  Can you believe it?!!  You don't even need to use a SNSS digi, any digi will do, BUT this week if you use a SNSS digi you get TWO entries into the drawing!
Remember, there are lots of special things are planned all month long!  Be sure to visit the Sweet 'n Sassy store for a list of all scheduled events and weekly sales.  There are daily giveaways on the SNSS Facebook page and in the SCS Member Company Forum as well, so stop by often so you don't miss a thing!  Happy 5th birthday SNSS!

WnW92 ~ Thankful

Welcome back Friends & Followers!  Time for another Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge - this fortnight we would like you to make a thank you/thankful card or project.  I don't know about you, but I never seem to have enough thank you cards in my stash!  For my sample I decided to use the adorable Snuzzle Love image (do you have 'Jungle Love' going through your head now?  LOL!) and a color that is very unusual for me - purple!
This cute little lady is colored in with Copic markers and paired with some pretty purple patterned paper (say that ten times fast!) by Colorblok that I found in Tuesday Morning (they have some seriously good craft deals every now and then, if your timing is good, you can get lucky).  Paired the image with some thin purple ribbon I picked up at the Offray Ribbon Outlet in Hagerstown, MD when we lived relatively nearby and some lilac twine.  The sentiment is stamped in Eggplant Envy with a sentiment from the retired 'Warmest Regards' set by Stampin Up!
This card also fulfills the requirements of the following additional challenges:

Hope you will play along with our Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge!  You have two weeks to link your creation and one lucky participant will win a FREE Wags 'n Whiskers Rubber Stamps!  You don't even need to use WnW digis, any digi will do, however, if you use WnW images on your card youw ill be entered into a second drawing for a free WnW digi image - can't beat that!  So join us!

SNSDC79 ~ Thanksgiving

Happy Friday Friends & Followers!  you know what that means - time for a new Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge.  This week we are challenging you to make a Thanksgiving card or project.  I decided to use Rhubarb's Pie and the sweet little Save the Turkeys digi images (I couldn't decide between the two so I used them both) to create these recipe cards for my yummy sweet potato casserole:
I thought it would be more festive to print the recipe out on patterned paper, I do like the result.
Be sure to see the SNSDC Blog for more ideas from my Digi Challenge teammates.  Won't you play along with us?  You don't even need to use a SNSS digi, any digi will do, but we spotlight one person who uses SNSS digis on their card or project every week, and it could be YOU!  And every card you enter throughout November, you will get one entry to be eligible for winning 3 digis of your choice from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store - so play along every week to increase your chances to win!
On a side note, November is a special month for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps - SNSS is celebrating their 5th birthday and lots of special things are planned all month long!

Merry & Bright

Hello Friends & Followers!  I hope you are doing well.  I wanted to make a card for this week's Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge:
I decided to use their Seasons of Love - Tags set and some metallic paper by American Crafts to create this card:
(Holiday card count - 20, eek!  I usually have more like 100 by now!!  I better get crackin'!)  My card is actually red & silver, but for some reason a lot of folks think I used gold...  I think Martha Stewarts' holiday stars border punch coordinates so nicely with this stamp, don't you?  I will say, it is a little tricky trying to heat emboss on that metallic paper, it is really slippery and wants to curl when hit with the heat gun.  I know this is simple, but I like how it turned out.
This card also fulfills the requirements of the following additional challenges:
Thanks for looking!  I hope you have a good evening!

SNSDC78 ~ Anything but a Card

Welcome back Friends & Followers!  I hope your Halloween was a happy one and a safe one as well.  It's Friday so it is time for another Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge.  This week's theme is Anything but a Card.  After seeing those supersized bags of Pixie Stix on sale I decided to make Pixie Stix holders using the ucte little Pumpkin Kitty digital stamp and some fun patterned paper from last year's DCWV Harvest Festival mat stack:

(please click on the photo for clearer resolution).  Each is made from a 4.5" x 5" piece of cardstock scored at 1.25", 1.5", 3.5" and 3.75" along the 5" side.  Then you rotate the cardstock 90 degrees and score at 1/4".  You snip the 1/4" scores up to where they intersect the other score lines (this will be the bottom of your pixie stix holder), fold together and secure with super tacky tape or your adhesive of choice.  I actually use scotch tape - it is on the back and the bottom, no one sees it anyway, and it is cheaper than using up my Monomulti.  I printed out several of the kitties onto Pumpkin Pie cardstock and punched them out - VOILA!  I made about 12 of these so far, they are so much fun to make and easy too!  For future reference - these work great as pencil holders too for back to school!  ;)
With Thanksgiving around the corner and the holidays soon after that I am sure you can think of lots of projects you could make for our challenge - napkin rings for the Thanksgiving table, treat holders of all kinds, be sure to see the SNSDC BLog for more ideas from my Digi Challenge teammates, the sky's the limit!  So won't you play along with us?  You don't even need to use a SNSS digi, any digi will do, but we spotlight one person who uses SNSS digis on their card or project every week, and it could be YOU!  And every card you enter throughout November, you will get one entry to be eligible for winning 3 digis of your choice from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store - so play along every week to increase your chances to win!
On a side note, November is a special month for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps - SNSS is celebrating their 5th birthday and lots of special things are planned all month long!  Be sure to visit the Sweet 'n Sassy store for a list of all scheduled events.  There are daily giveaways on the SNSS Facebook page and in the SCS Member Company Forum as well, so stop by often so you don't miss a thing!  Happy 5th birthday SNSS!  Happy November Friends!

Happy Howl-o-ween!

Boo to you my friends & followers!  Hope you all enjoyed a Happy Halloween.  I myself am not a big fan of the holiday, I don't like being scared, never really got into the costume thing and always stress whether I have purchased enough candy (someone should not have to take out a loan to finance their trick-or-treaters!).  I was able to squeeze in these Howl-o-ween doggie treats for the neighborhood pups before the festivities began, using a cute digital image from Designed2Delight called 'Puppy Magic' and some rawhide lollipops I found at Target.  Here is a shot of a portion of the treats:
On a non-Halloweenie note, I was able to squeeze in another HYCCT card this afternoon which was also for Taylored Expressions' 'Stamp & Send Challenge' using their 'Joy to the World' set:
I ran the entire angel panel upside down through my xyron and covered the adhesive with glitter to make it SUPER sparkly!  I hope someone at the Andersen Cancer Treatment Center likes it!  A tip - when you are going to do this technique, I always select my Bic Mark Its over my Copics- the glitter covers a lot of the finer coloring detail, so I might as well save the more expensive ink.
Thanks for stopping by!  Don't eat too much candy!!

Christmas Card Kit Club ~ October 2012

Hello Friends & Followers!  Happy Halloween!  LOL, feels kind of funny presenting a Christmas card ON Halloween, but it is the last day of the month and that is reveal day.  This month the lovely and talented Kelli Jo was our hostess (sorry, I forgot to take a picture of the kit before I dove into it, LOL!) and here is the card I created using the pretty Sparkle Creations image, some GORGEOUS patterned paper (not sure what kind) and some pretty peppermint stick and red burlap ribbons:
I don't know if it shows up in this photo, but I added some sparkle with glitter using a Zig 2-way glue pen to the brim of her hat, muff, coat hem, boots, snowflakes and the ground as well.  Thanks KelliJo!  This is my first time making a card with a Sparkle Creations image!  I am also going to send this card to the patients at the Andersen Cancer Center for one of the HYCCT challenges over at Splitcoaststampers.  This card also fulfills the requirements of the following additional challenges as well:
Now I know you are excited to see what my talented friends made with their kits as well, so be sure to visit them all, I am sure they have something beautiful for you to see:
  • Kelli (our October hostess)
  • Lee (who I think is posting tomorrow)
  • Lydia
  • Misti (who is still waiting for her kit to arrive, poor thing), and
  • Peggy Sue.

Thanks for looking!  May you find lots of swell discounted candy tomorrow!

My First Some Odd Girl Card

Hello Friends & Followers!  I hope that those of you who live in Hurricane Sandy's path are safe and sound along with your loved ones and pets.  Speaking of pets, when I saw Some Odd Girl's Preppy Pups set, being the HUGS dog lover that I am, I HAD to have it (it even has a doxie!!).  So I decided to create this card for their October Sketch Challenge:

See?!!  Isn't he the CUTEST?!!  I colored him in Copic markers and really like that Spellbinders' Pinking Circle shape - doesn't it add that extra 'pow' factor?  I am also donating this card for Lydia's HYCCT1201A Challenge to 'Show Us Your Style' at Splitcoaststampers for the patients at the Andersen Cancer because my style is definitely (1) balenced/symmetrical, (2) featuring pups, (3) with coloring, and (4) fun patterned papers.
Thanks for stopping by to see my card!  Have a great day!

WnW91 ~ Fall Colors

Welcome back Friends & Followers!  Time for a new Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge!  This week we are challenging you to make a card using FALL COLORS!  I decided to use the cute little cheerleader Let's Go Team! image and color her in with a popular school color duo - maroon and gold with rust, orange and green accents:
I colored her in using Copic markers and added some goldenrod Stickles for a little sparkle.  I stamped "Go!  Fight!  Win'!" using one of those Studio G's alphabets from Michaels' dollar bin that had a varsity look to them and punched them out using a 1/4" square punch.  The gold waves are actually long stickers by the paper Studio that I cut down to fit and match the gold sparkle from her pom poms & skirt, and since she is a cheerleader, I added a few sparkly pom poms at the bottom of the card as well (no, I have no idea how it is going to fit into the envelope this way, LOL).  My thoughts behind this card was 'Go! Fight! Win! - Beat Cancer!' and to use it for one of the HYCCT challenges over at Splitcoast stampers for the patients at the Anderson Cancer Center, surely there is someone there who was a cheerleader when they were younger, or who maybe has a daughter who is one now, I hope it will bring a smile to their face.
So join us!
Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great weekend!

SNSDC77 ~ Stitching

Happy Friday Friends & Followers - you know what that means - time for a new Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge!  This week we are challenged to incorporate stitching into your digi image card.  I figured it was the perfect opportunity to showcase Sew Happy Cocoa Mouse:
I used a paper piercer and punched holes around the edge of the image and then hand stitched with 2 of the 6 skeins of a pink embroidery floss (I envisioned it coming out a lot better in all honesty).  I topped the card off with a sentiment from the Sew Happy Cocoa Clear Stamp set so it will also qualify as Patricia Hayes' (a fellow SNSDC teamie!) HYCCT Challenge (also sponsored by SNSS - WOO HOO!) You Have Me In Stitches Challenge - to incorporate stitching into a humorous card for one of the patients at the Anderson Cancer Center.  It also fulfills the requirements of the following additional challenges:

Hope you will join us and play along with our Digi Challenge - you don't need to use a SNSS digi, any digi will do, but we spotlight one person who uses SNSS digis on their card or project every week, and it could be YOU!  And every card you enter throughout October, you will get one entry to be eligible for winning 3 digis of your choice from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store - so play along every week to increase your chances to win!  Happy Stamping!

And now for today's challenge: Add some type of metal to your creation!   This can be a metal button, brad, photo turn, wired ribbon, staples....anything as long as something on your project is metal.  I opted for some wired metallic ribbon in combination with the Shepherd Boy image and Jesus is the Reason Christmas Sentiments:
I colored the Shepherd Boy image with Bic Mark Its and then ran it upside down through my Xyron and sprinkled clear glitter over the entire image panel for a super glittery effect (which was difficult to capture on camera for some reason).  I thought tearing the golden patterned paper would resemble sand.
Just a few things to keep in mind as you play along with our challenge:
  • Please remember - digital images only (they don't have to be SNS digi images, but we sure do love to see them!)
  • Please share a link to your creation using the Linky feature at the end of this post. If the link feature is down, please add a link with your comment, and

Pink CAS Love & Hope

Hello Friends & Followers!  Hope you have been having a good weekend!  Today's card was made for Stamp TV's Mix It Up Monday Challenge to make a pink CAS card inspiring love & hope hosted by my friend Ceal.  I combined it with Splitcoaststampers' HYCCT Challenge to make a shaped card and used my new Gina K. Designs 'Strength & Hope' set by Theresa Momber, a gift from hubby (Thanks Babe!) and lots of heart-shaped Spellbinders Nestabilities dies to create this card:
(LOL, please click on the photo for clearer resolution, heart-shaped cards are difficult to photograph, LOL!)  I ran the larger white heart through my CB with the Swiss Dots EF and added some hot pink velvet ribbon and a little pink bling.  I must say, I really love the Memento Markers I used to ink up the letters and pink ribbon 'O'.
This card also fulfills the requirements of the following additional challenges:

Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge 90 - Halloween Colors

Welcome Back Friends & Followers!  This week we have a new Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge for you - Use Halloween colors: orange, black, green & white.  I selected Toby's Tasty Treat, colored him in with Copic markers and added some black and white striped paper by the Paper Studio to create this card:
The sentiment is computer generated in a Comic Sans font.  I also added little tiny green rhinestones to Toby's hat and the sentiment - can you see them?
Hope you will play along with our Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge!  You have two weeks to link your creation and one lucky participant will win a FREE Wags 'n Whiskers Rubber Stamps!  You don't even need to use WnW digis, any digi will do, however, if you use WnW images on your card youw ill be entered into a second drawing for a free WnW digi image - can't beat that!  So join us!

~Crafty Math Chick

PS - This card was also created for the Hope You Can Cling To Challenge hosted by Lori McAree - to create a card with elements that begin with 'H.Y.C.C.T.' - mine are Happy Birthday, Y- YR family Copic markers that I used to color Toby in, Circle, Cupcake, Tiger.  This is a really wonderful event that is a card drive for cancer treatment patients, so feel free to click on the link and see how you can get involved too!  (And there are TONS of prizes for the participants as well, in case you need a little extra encouragement)  ;) And for the following additional challenges as well:

SNSDC75 ~ Appreciation (so stop hoarding!!)

Hello Friends & Followers (rough week here, sorry I have not had more to show you).  Welcome to the new Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge!  This week's theme is Show Your Appreciation by using your favorite embellish you tend to hoard.  As you have probably guessed, I LOVE making dog themed cards, so when I find fancy dog-themed embellishments I tend to hoard them for once I use them - they're gone right?  And who knows when or if I will ever find them again!  So for my card, I am expressing appreciate to our vet, who takes SUCH good care of our furbaby, using some coveted paw print rhinestone bling and my favorite SNSS digi image Puppy Love (which is also available as a clear set) to create this card:
This adorable pup is colored with Copics similarly to my furbaby with paper from the 'Spoiled Rotten' stack by the Paper Studio.  I added a paw print charm using MFT's Dienamics and my EK Success paw print border punch.  I think she'll like it - don't you?
Hope you will join us and play along with our Digi Challenge - you don't need to use a SNSS digi, any digi will do, but we spotlight one person who uses SNSS digis on their card or project every week, and it could be YOU!  And every card you enter throughout October, you will get one entry to be eligible for winning 3 digis of your choice from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store - so play along every week to increase your chances to win!  Also, through Monday night, SNSS is having a release party with challenges over at their forum on Splitcoaststampers.com, so why not see if there is a way to combine challenges and increase your chances of winning some SNSS!  Good luck!!

SNSDC74 ~ Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Tic Tac Toe!

Hello Friends & Followers!  Welcome to another Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge!  This week, we have a Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge for you:
I opted for the left to right increasing diagonal of 'Embossing - die cuts/punches - button' and incorporated SNSS Sweet Stop Sketch 178:
To create this card using the cute Rhubarb Scarecrow digi:
(Please click on the photo for clearer resolution).  Man I have missed coloring with my Copic markers!!  The base of this card is Ruby Red, a strip of Really Rust is embossed using Provocraft's 'Forest Branches' CB EF and the DP is from DCWV's Harvest Festival mat stack (which has copper foil accents in it - very pretty!  Not sure it shows up well in the picture though...).  I REALLY like that ribbon - it has tiny chocolate brown sequins on it and gold thread.  The sentiment is from SNSS' 'Fall Time Cocoa set,' stamped on Summer Sun cardstock and matted with more Ruby Red punched from a Marvy Uchida scalloped rectangle punch.
Hope you will join us and play along with our Hip to be Square Challenge - you don't need to use a SNSS digi, any digi will do, but we spotlight one person who uses SNSS digis on their card or project every week, and it could be YOU!
Happy Friday my friends!  Have a good weekend!

Christmas Card Kit Club ~ September 2012

Hello friends and followers!  Welcome to the second installment of the Christmas Card Kit Club 5 of my crafty friends and I have organized.  I got the idea from my crafty friend Suzanne; each of us takes a turn hosting the challenge for a month by mailing supplies to the other members of the group - images, patterned papers, embellishments, etc.  Everyone receives the same materials, and we have the entire month to make one or more cards with them.  Then, on the last day of the month we all share our creations on our blogs and have fun seeing what everyone else made with the same supplies, plus we have a big head start on our holiday cards for the season.  Isn't that a fun idea?  I was so happy my pals wanted to play along.  So, this month Lydia was our  host and sent us the following supplies (all by Stampin' Up!) including:
Images from Winterful Wonderland
Candlelight Designer paper
Snow Festival Tags
Noel Notes laser cut note and scalloped liner
Champagne Glimmer Paper
1/8" Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon, and
Designer Brushed Bronze buttons.
Here is a pic of the kit contents:
(please click on the photos for clearer resolution).  And here is the card I created with my kit:
(Holiday acrd count - 16, just dismal!!)  I meant to create more projects this month, planning to craft all the livelong day this entire weekend (I like to stew over ideas for a while) and then my husband's business trip was cancelled at the last minute, so a weekend-long craftfest was no longer in the cards.
Now I know you are excited to see what my talented friends made with their kits as well, so be sure to visit them all, I am sure they have something beautiful for you to see:
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you enjoyed our first Christmas Card Kit Club Hop and will join us again last the day of the month in the future!  Cheers!
