Happy Father's day to all the Dad's out there. Ty asked me to make a card for him to give to his Daddy and I was happy to oblige. I decided to use my Lawn Fawn 'Critters in the Dog Park' images and dies along with their Puffy Star Stackables dies to make this card:
I tried to color the pup like our Ty Baby using Copic Markers and decided to make the card in a star shape with striped paper from My Mind's Eye so it met this week's Lawnscaping 'Stars & Stripes' challenge:
Added some star-shaped rhinestones in champagne and honey colors as well for accents. I gotta tell ya - I LOVE working with these coordinating dies! I wish I could afford more of them - when I have enough money saved up though, I usually opt for getting a larger variety of stamp sets than matching dies, but they are pretty tough to resist.
Thanks so much for stopping by the see my blog. I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful Father's Day, even if all your children only have paws.

(Don't those cookies make your mouth water? YUM!) I met the challenge using Flirty Flamingos, which I honestly believe is the cutest flamingo set I have seen anywhere!!
to make this card:
I used various sizes of heart-shaped Nestabilities dies by Spellbinders to create this heart-shaped card with a window in the middle for the flamingos to peek out of.

Hope this isn't too 'Cheesy'...
Welcome back! That's right, two posts from me today! At least, so far... ;)
I wanted to share a fun card I made for another DTGD challenge on Splitcoaststampers.com using 'Just Say Cheese!' by Newton's Nook Designs:
SQUEEE! Isn't it cute? (if I do say so myself). I used different sized circle punches and the EK Success Swiss Cheese border punches to create the 'Swiss Cheese' top layer. Here is a close up on the little mousie who was stamped twice - once on the yellow cheese slice and once on white paper to be cut out and colored (preserves the tail that way), then masked to stamp the cheese wedge over him so it looked like he was sitting on top, then colored with Copic markers, cut out and paper pieced back onto the yellow cheese slice.
Isn't he just darling? LOL, oh I love him!
Thanks so much for stopping by and looking at my card. I hope you like it as much as I do and have a great day! Off to stamp some more!

Newton's Nook Designs June Release - Day 2
Welcome back friends, followers & NND hoppers! Today we are previewing an adorable fruit themed set that is perfect for so many occasions, 'Sweet Summer':
See what I mean about versatility? I decide to give the cute watermelon slice a little love, since I never seem to have enough 'thank you' cards in my stash:
This watermelon card is so simple to make! I simply cut two circles using my Spellbinders Nestabilities dies, the larger one in Glorious Green and the smaller one in Melon Mambo scored each in half and stacked them - easy peasy! Then I stamped the cute watermelon slice (you do see the cute little heart Jennifer added, right?), colored it with my Copic markers, cut it out and attached it to the card base. I added the sentiment and doodled in the watermelon seeds myself. VOILA! Okay, now my mouth is watering for fresh watermelon...
Would you like to win 'Sweet Summer'?
This set will be given away to TWO lucky winners!!
Here's how to win:
Comment on the NND blog and Design Team and Guest blogs (see list below)! Two winners will be chosen at random from the collective blogs' release posts. Make sure you check out each of their blogs and comment for your chance to win. You will not know which blog has been chosen so the more you comment on the better your chances are of winning! You have until Thursday, June 19th at 9 pm Central Daylight Time to comment -- winners will be announced on the blog post on Friday, June 20th.

SNSDC80 ~ New release - Shaped card challenge
Hello Friends & Followers! Yesterday Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps released three new digis in conjunction with their 5th birthday celebration:
I printed him out somewhat supersized, colored him in using Spectrum Noir markers for the grey portions (they are new, wanted to try them out - let me know what you think!) and Copic markers for the colored portions, cut him out and traced him onto a piece of Going Grey cardstock. I cut along my outline and scored at the top, folded it over to attach it to the image at the top and VOILA - instead Kiwi shaped card! I also punched out 'Winter Blessings' from the Eskimo Kisses Sentiments set and attached it at the bottom, though I feel bad blocking part of his cute paw pads.
Be sure to see the SNSDC Blog for more ideas from my Digi Challenge teammates. Won't you play along with us? And in celebration of SNSS' 5th birthday the prize for this week's challenge is BIG - $20 of SNSS digi images!! Can you believe it?!! You don't even need to use a SNSS digi, any digi will do, BUT this week if you use a SNSS digi you get TWO entries into the drawing!
Remember, there are lots of special things are planned all month long! Be sure to visit the Sweet 'n Sassy store for a list of all scheduled events and weekly sales. There are daily giveaways on the SNSS Facebook page and in the SCS Member Company Forum as well, so stop by often so you don't miss a thing! Happy 5th birthday SNSS!
Eskimo Kisses (colored image - the outlined image was previously released and is available in the store as well for those of you who love to color):
and lastly, Eskimo Kisses Sentiments:
This week's Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge is to make a shaped card. I decided to use cute little Kiwi Koala's Cuppa image as the shape for my card:I printed him out somewhat supersized, colored him in using Spectrum Noir markers for the grey portions (they are new, wanted to try them out - let me know what you think!) and Copic markers for the colored portions, cut him out and traced him onto a piece of Going Grey cardstock. Pink CAS Love & Hope
Hello Friends & Followers! Hope you have been having a good weekend! Today's card was made for Stamp TV's Mix It Up Monday Challenge to make a pink CAS card inspiring love & hope hosted by my friend Ceal. I combined it with Splitcoaststampers' HYCCT Challenge to make a shaped card and used my new Gina K. Designs 'Strength & Hope' set by Theresa Momber, a gift from hubby (Thanks Babe!) and lots of heart-shaped Spellbinders Nestabilities dies to create this card:
(LOL, please click on the photo for clearer resolution, heart-shaped cards are difficult to photograph, LOL!) I ran the larger white heart through my CB with the Swiss Dots EF and added some hot pink velvet ribbon and a little pink bling. I must say, I really love the Memento Markers I used to ink up the letters and pink ribbon 'O'.
This card also fulfills the requirements of the following additional challenges:
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a great week!

SNSDC55 ~ Thank You
Hello Everyone! Time for a new Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge! This week is easy peasy - make a thank you card. Here is mine using Watermelon Cocoa:
I printed little Cocoa and his watermelon slice onto Gina K. Luxury Cardstock, colored him in with Copic markers and cut him out (I tried so hard to cut around his tail, but my hands were shaking so badly I just couldn't do it - sorry Cocoa!! - and opted for a tail of embroidery floss instead) and attached him to a big circle cut with a Spellbinders Nestabilities Circle die scored and folded in half to create the 'watermelon'. The seeds are Sticko stickers and I just typed up the 'Thanks a Melon!' sentiment and printed it onto Melon Mambo cardstock. I don't mean to toot my own horn, but I really like this little card (I do not always like the cards I make, but I am pretty fond of this little guy).
Hope you will stop by the blog and see what other beautiful creations my fellow Teamies came up with and that you will have a change to play along with us. You don't even need to use a SNSS digi image (though we sure love to see them) - any digi image will do!
Happy Friday Everyone!
