Newton's Nook Designs August Release ~ Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of Newton's Nook Designs' August Release.  Today Jen has created some beautiful silhouette sea life images for you to create with - introducing 'Tranquil Tides':

Isn't that little seahorse just precious?!!  I decided to use as many images as I could to create this fun emboss resist card using lots of embossing powder in tropical neon colors:

Emboss resist sea life card by Crafty Math Chick | Tranquil Tides by Newton's Nook Designs

I didn't know if embossing medium works well with negative stamping to reverse images like ink does (have you tried it?  Please let me know about your success or lack thereof in the comments!) so I simply turned the little seahorse upside down to be in position to kiss his angel fish sweetheart.

Would you like to win 'Tranquil Tides' stamp set?
This set will be given away to ONE lucky winner!!

 Here's how to win:

Comment on the NND blog and Design Team and Guest blogs (see list below)! The winner will be chosen at random from the collective blogs' release posts. Make sure you check out each of their blogs and comment for your chance to win. You will not know which blog has been chosen so the more you comment on the better your chances are of winning! You have until Thursday, August 13th at 9 pm CDT to comment -- the winner will be announced on the blog post on Friday, August 14th. Check out all these awesome Design Team & Guest Blogs below to enter:

Thanks so much for stopping by, Jess Gerstner is next on the hop, I am sure she has created something spectacular for you to see!  Enjoy!

I love your sweet card! I haven't tried reversing a stamp with embossing ink yet, but you could always try stamping the seahorse onto acetate and turning it over for a similar effect?

Thanks for showing this bright and fun card! I haven't tried to reverse an image yet. Your idea worked great! I thought of embossing on vellum and flipping it over to achieve what you wanted to do.
