Mermaid Christmas

Hello!  Today it is my turn to be featured on the Newton's Nook Designs blog.  Today's card features the recently released Mermaid Crossing:

I know my mind works in a unique way, but when I first saw the images in this set I envisioned that pretty mermaid placing that starfish on the top of a Christmas Tree, so I created a card encapsulating this for you today:

Mermaid Christmas card by Crafty Math Chick | Mermaid Crossing & Sea-sons Greetings by Newton's Nook Designs

I created a 'sea-sonal' Christmas 'tree' using the coral image from the recently released 'Tranquil Tides' by stamping it over and over creating a Christmas Tree shape.  Then I stamped several starfish 'ornaments', colored them in and covered them in golden glitter slue so they'd sparkle.  I added the cute Santa crab, Santa fish & sentiment from NND's Sea-sons Greetings and tore a strip of kraft cardstock to create a sandy bottom for the crab to stand on and the coral Christmas tree to grow out of.  What do you think?  I just LOVE combining Newton's Nook Designs' set like this!  So many of them work well together!

Thanks so much for stopping by to see my creations - hope you like it and have a great week!
